Vacation Bible School

What:

  • TCBC Vacation Bible School is summer day school / activity program at church for instruction in the Word, singing and play

Why:

  • II Timothy 3:13-16: “You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have
    known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through
    faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for
    reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate,
    equipped for every good work.

How:

  • Children are provided:
    • Instruction in God’s Word
    • A challenge to respond to God’s Word
    • Opportunities for worship in singing
    • Enjoyment through various games and play

Who:

  • Children from 6-12 years old
  • Children from 4-5 years old (with a mandatory parental volunteer)
  • Volunteers (from junior high and above)
  • Speaker (A man who can exhort in Scripture): Jim Scott
  • Coordinator (A man or woman who can coordinate the entire VBS program): Sharon Dierberger

When:

  • One week each summer
  • Monday – Friday
  • 9am – 3pm

Where:

  • TCBC (indoors and outdoors)
