Elders

Each member of the Board of Elders must be an active member of this church and possess the qualifications described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. He shall be: blameless as a steward of God, husbad of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, given to hospitality, able to teach, not self-willed, a lover of good, just, holy and self-controlled.

Elders oversee the church body and its operations including the managment of church activities and affairs. There responsibilities incude the disbursements of funds to fulfill the church’s purposes, teach and guide, assist the Pastor in Baptism and Communion, to name a few.

Deacons

The Deacons shall consist of members possessing the qualifications described in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. A Deacon shall be a man of dignity, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not fond of sordid gain, holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience, first tested and found beyond reproach.

Deacons shall assist the Elders’ unified effort regarding shepherding of the saints, assist the Pastor at the communion and batismal services, aid in general spiritual care of the church, and perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Elders.
